St. Mary’s GFC entrance is directly opposite the entrance to Brú na Bóinne which was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1993 which contains some of the world’s most important prehistoric sites. The landscape is dominated by the three world renowned passage tombs of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, which were built some 5,000 years ago.
